The Adventure Lives On

June 26, 2013-  This is the continuation of our trip to Orlando, Florida.   We spent our second day at Universal's Islands of Adventure which was included in our multi-day tickets.  We arrived around 11am and most of the rides have long lines already.  It was so hot that day, we were sweating a lot and since we came from a cold weather of Washington State it's hard to adjust to the hot weather of Florida and the worst was, it's summer.

So we took and read the map and planned our route on what rides to try.  My hubby and my son took the Spiderman Ride while my daughter and I went to a shaded area eating the dippin' dots ice cream.

My daughter and I decided to have lunch at Captain America Diner while waiting for the boys to come back.

After few minutes my boys came and joined us, after discussing on where to go we walked around looking for the right ride for us and since we are afraid of roller coaster the only rides that we took were Jurassic Park River Adventure,  Popeye and Bluto's Bilge- Rat Barges Ride and Harry Potter the Forbidden Journey Ride with a waiting time of almost 2 hours each ride, the longest line was the Harry Potter, almost 2 1/2 hours (I think).

We stopped by at the Harry Potter's store, I bought some postcards and stamps of Harry Potter, I sent a postcard to myself hehehe (my souvenir) a "dumbledore's wand" worth $32 for my son which he never played that after I bought it, I bought some frog chocolates (chocolates shaped like frog) "fudge flies" and waited in line outside just to try and taste the butter beer.

We're supposed to try the Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls ride but it was closed that day.

By the time we finished the rides it's almost 8pm,  but my son wanted to go back to Popeye and Bluto's Bilge- Rat Barges Ride, it's a water rapids raft ride and you're supposed to get wet, my hubby and my son went back and forth to that ride since there's no more waiting line.  They went back four times.  I did only once and enjoyed it.

We went back to hotel already dried because it was too hot that day, we never had the chance to change our clothes :-) I enjoyed much here in Islands of Adventure, than the Universal Studios and I want to go back here....soon :-)
