Center Gai is a narrow street with clothing and music stores, and video game arcades. This is a nice place to walk and feel the Shibuya vibe.

Our day 4 in Tokyo: February 18, 2009- Shibuya

During our vacation in Tokyo, Shibuya was the last place we visited in our day 4 trip.

The Shibuya Crossing is a pedestrian scramble and is one of the busiest crossings in the world. It is located in front of the Shibuya Station Hachikō exit and stops vehicles in all directions to allow pedestrians to cross the entire intersection. Three large TV screens mounted on nearby buildings overlook the crossing. The Starbucks store overlooking the crossing is also one of the busiest in the world.

Hahaha, I don't know if you know a game called The World Ends With You, it's a game in DS and is set on Shibuya. But an altered Shibuya. That was the first time I knew about Shibuya! And the Hachiko statue in your previous blog. And here you are showing some photos from the place I want to go to someday!

I would be following you from now on! Would love to see more of your photos and read your stories!

great job,

Thanks for adding me, I have read about that game but I haven't checked it yet and I don't think my son has that game (is if for girls??). I'll try to download that from the internet ans see what it looks like :-) thanks for letting me know.

These scenes sort of remind me of Times Square in New York City, It's just a wee bit smaller than NYC.

Bloghopping from Dennis Villegas.

Oh, it's really one of the best games on DS, I'm sure your kids would love it. My brother and I (I'm 17, he's 12) got hooked into it, I'm sure your kids would too! It's not really a girly game, most of the boys would appreciate it! :)

You download DS games from the net too, huh? :P

Hi Mari- I've never been to NY yet and I can't compare the difference but I think you're right, Tokyo is smaller than NYC. Thanks for hopping by mys site.

Half Crazy- thanks for the info, I will make sure I'll get that game for my son :-)
