Lake Towada

Duck and dinosaur paddle boats

islet in Lake Towada

Lake Towada

Towada- ko or Lake Towada is an hour and a half drive from Misawa Air Base. This is the largest lake in Honshu island (main state). It is located at the boundary of Aomori and Akita prefectures, in the Towada-Hachimantai National Park and is one of Tohoku's most popular attraction.

There are lots of activities here in Lake Towada that you can try, you can hike, ride and paddle the duck or dinosaur boat, there is also kayaking and a ferry boat where you can ride and tour around the lake which I never tried yet.

Hi Missy, golly it does seem likes ages since I have been by to visit you, but I have not forgotten your blog and what nice things you post about. As with you, the days are busy, and I am trying to get caught up to everyone after a hectic summer. LOVE the lake pictures, those paddle boats are simply beyond cute, I LOVE them!! warmly, Debby

bert- I don't know if there are some fish, I haven't checked yet :-)

Nomadic- I did the paddle boat and it's so tiring for me since I don't exercise regularly :-) and it's so scary coz we they don't have life vest

RJ- I know that day was gloomy not a good timing to take pictures, anyways thanks for the greeting I didn't realize that I've been blogging for 1 year now since Oct :-)
