Friday Shootout- WATER

Friday Shootout is WATER.

Once again here's the brief overview of Misawa:

The City of Misawa is located near the northeast tip of the Japanese main island of Honshu in Aomori Prefecture. It is a town with a population of about 44,000, in which the Pacific Ocean lies to its east, picturesque Lake Ogawara to the west.

That means we have plenty of water too! Browse and enjoy my photos.

Last Monday, Memorial holiday in US [yes, we had our holiday too even we're in Japan, we are still Americans anyway who happened to live in Japan hehehe], we got a lot of oysters from a river that I forgot the name :-) .....[again hehehe]. I need to ask my friend what's the name of this river and we need to come back here to get more oysters.

A man was fishing

Oysters in the bottom of water

A rock full of oysters and the background of course is water....where we got this rock :-)

A bucket filled with oysters and of course we put some cold "water"

My son looking for some clams, the water was very cold

A drive-by shot after digging some oysters from this river

Some boats as I spotted while we're driving back home from the river

Misawa Beach - part of Lake Ogawara which is located on base. I just had my blog about Misawa beach and some some of the photos are here again.

Missy, that last picture is just GORGOUS, it looks like something that should be framed and hung in my room! I love it. All your pictures were once again just awesome, I love how you are able to capture everything just right. Not sure what kind of camera you have, but your colors show up so bright and clear. I need to work on my pictures a bit, they seem to dull in color. Anyway, the drive by picture was really fabulous too. And i guess there is nothing more interesting then seeing those rice fields!! Now that really makes me feel as if I have just taken a plane on over to Japan and saw it for myself. Fantastic post and great job on the shoot out. Always a pleasure to stop by your blog and see what you have to share with us. ciao, Debby

Missy your photos are excellent! I like very much the first one with the night (or evening) sky reflected in the water. The PInk Birdhouse is right your colors are really good. maybe no polution or humidity to obscure the colore.
anyway great job.

Your color is deep and haunting...I love what you do to the sky...and what a great playground on the beach!! I laughed out loud at the oysters in the box where your caption had to mention the water so we'd note it. Great take on the theme.

Magnificent shots. I love the oyster shots and the clam hunters and oyster hunters. We do that around here, too.

My favorite is the water shot with the one ripple shot. Did you throw a stone in the water or did it come from a critter? Perfect shot.

Love them all.

Thanks for another tour around your lovely area.

Oh, I love rice, especially sticky rice.

Rice fields in the evening and the reflection in them are just awesome. And how can a drive by shot be so beautiful?? Water was a great theme for you too. My GRAND~girls would go nuts for that beach playground. It looks like to much fun.
Can't wait to see Japan next week.
Sunshine and smiles!
